FlowVR is a middleware library dedicated to the development and execution of interactive applications distributed on clusters and grids. FlowVR is the main middleware library used on the GrImage platform. FlowVR is open source.
FlowVR-Render is a library for high performance distributed rendering. FlowVR-Render is built on top of FlowVR. It is used for most GrImage application that require a visualization on the 16 projector display wall, from high resolution image display to large data set volume rendering. FlowVR-Render is open source.
SOFA is a modular and high performance library for real-time simulations. SOFA is used to enable interactions bewteen the virtual objects and the one modeled by the camera network (usually the user body). Some SOFA components run on GPU using the NVIDIA Cuda library to speed-up computations.
Remotek is a graphics user interface to drive the projectors of a display wall through their RS232 control port. For the moment it only supports the Sanyo PLC XT10 projectors.
Calibration ensures a software calibration (geometry, brighntess) of the GrImage display wall to get a seamless image from loosely aligned and uneven projectors.
MVVideo is a software with a graphical user interface, to remotely control the acquisition, synchronization and display of video streams from multiple cameras arbitrarily distributed on the Grimage workstations. The software can be used as a recorder to record the video streams on disk. The graphical interface displays the video streams from all cameras simultaneously. MVVideo can also be used as a video player, and accept plugins in order to add or control other processes for specific applications.
